A Greek-American Photographer in Ireland…

Born in Chicago, Kim was raised one of ten children in a creative second-generation Greek-American family. She discovered her love for photography at age 12, when she bought herself her first 35mm film camera. Apprenticing established photographers on the ground, Kim learned the in’s and out’s of commercial photography including printing in the darkroom. When Kim wasn’t taking photos, she was modeling, and in turn developed a professional understanding of both sides of the lens.

In 1992, Kim sought out a new adventure and moved her family to Ireland, settling in a rustic stable-turned-homestead on the Blessington Lakes, County Wicklow. Over the next three decades, she captured the history and development of the world-renowned lakes and mountains surrounding her. As a traveling photographer, she continues adventuring and has captured places as far as Iceland, Morocco, and Hawai’i through her lens.
